Toris adventures while studying abroad! |
Today’s something new: domingo 1.30.2011; going to a Spanish speaking church! Iglesia Evangelica, to give you the actual name. It was such a great experience. It is not too far from our house and the first service starts at 12, so I even get to sleep in! It is just one one room, but its modern and just has a great feel. The sermons are given in Spanish, but when we bring our Bibles it is not too difficult to follow along. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and we met a lot of people from the US and others who spoke English, which was nice! The worship is also in Spanish, but I always love Spanish chapel, and they are familiarsongs that we do at home and so it is easy to sing along. I am also excited because they have a college group on saturdays which I think will be a great way to meet moreSpaniards and be in fellowship with people my own age. this seems like a winner of a church, so we will see how it goes!
