today’s something new is also is food related: Spanish tortilla! Now I know what you’re thinking, tortillas are everywhere in California (and boy do I know it, I love them tons) but no, this isn’t a flour or corn or wheat tortilla, its more like an omelet. Another thing I love dearly, especially if they are made by Emily in the caf, but anyways these are omelets, called tortillas and they are super popular in Spain. Senora made us a spinach tortilla (just eggs and a whole ton of spinach) and then a potato tortilla (with yep, you guessed it just potatoes and eggs) but they were so good, and so filling! Eating these tortillas made me miss caf omelets a whole lot, and they made me miss “real” tortillas even more! what I wouldn’t do for a California burrito right about now…
